About Trinity
Trinity is a census-designated place in southwest Pasco County with 11,924 residents in the 2020 census, up from 4,279 in 2000. The community takes its name from Trinity College of Florida, a Bible college.
Most of Trinity grew up as planned neighborhoods from the 1990s on, with golf courses and community associations, south of State Road 54 near the Pinellas line.
Pools and heaters in Trinity
Trinity's pools are mostly screened, built with the homes or added soon after, and heated by heat pumps from the start. Many of those original units are 15 to 25 years old now, and plenty of owners are on their second heat pump already.
Spillover spas are common, and some homes added a gas heater for the spa. Association rules can also matter for where new equipment sits.

Who permits heater work in Trinity
Trinity is unincorporated, so permitted heater work goes through Pasco County Building Construction Services.
The office to call is Pasco County Building Construction Services at 8661 Citizens Drive, Suite 100, New Port Richey, FL 34654, (727) 847-8126.
Swapping a sensor, board or fan is usually service work. A new or replacement heater generally needs a permit, mainly so an inspector can check the electrical connection and the pool bonding; the City of Marco Island explains it the same way. Gas heaters add gas line work.

My spa takes hours to heat. Is the heat pump failing?
